Kaylee Keller releases hot new Single
Pop sensation Kaylee Keller just released her latest single “Song Like That.” Straight away it’s clear to me this single is an imaginative return to passion filled pop fused with the better musical touches of today Power Pop, Urban Dance and a bit of Dance Soul.
On this new song Keller brings together her life influences and experiences via meditative vocals, grounded by melodic dubbed bass-synth, propelled by live Hip Hop drums colored with sonically-lush electric Piano. Heartfelt songs of longing, betrayal, and forgiveness reflect Keller’s admiration for great pop artists of the modern times, but she has a slight rocked out edge as well and reminds me of Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Regina Spektor, A Fine Frenzy, Charlotte Martin, Vienna Teng and Natasha Bedingfield. Today music has many people feeling of bit of soullessness – how appropriate I get a song like this from Keller. Let me go on record by saying Keller is a real jolt to the system – in a good way. The song begins in hooky fashion with the magnificent yet hypnotic Piano intro, followed by honey coated vocals soon thereafter by Keller. The single hits solid stride right away and never once looks back. As a whole it’s a crisp raid on the senses, laden with hooks and impressive melodic bursts and rich instrumentation featuring Piano, Keyboards, Bass-Synth, and well placed vocal harmonies. This is the perfect songs for a single snap shot as it is radio friendly hit of the highest order. The song is also short and sweet (3:20) showcasing a pleasant journey through the Pop Passion play of Keller’s psyche all the while displaying a carefree attitude and swagger. The harmonies, Piano and Keller’s voice beautifying what could clearly be a dance number in the clubs as well. The title is perfect and the chorus is priceless, the vocals – in the pocket and never once over singing. In the end Keller is a real breath of fresh air to Radio Pop, and again a shock to everyday musical system presently in place. All in all it’s amazing – you don’t have to get everyone’s attention via sexy shock and awe, you can do it by lifting their spirits as well – “Song like That” by Kaylee Keller does just that.
There’s nothing over the top about Kaylee Keller or this song. In summary “Song Like That” by Kaylee Keller is sure to turn your head and your ears and pretty much delivers everything the title implies, and is in itself a polarizing song compared to what’s on the Radio right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if Keller continues to get more popular past as this summer unwinds.
